The Greatest Commandment: It’s All or Nothing with God.

Deuteronomy 6: 4-94. Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord:5. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.6. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:(heart is a symbol- innermost being, where your spirit resides, where your works really are)7. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.8. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.9. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

(Hear, oh Israel, the Lord Your God, your Elohim – your plural God – the suffix .-.IM - in Hebrew is for three or more – YOUR PLURAL GOD IS ONE)

.This greatest of all the commandments of God has two parts

1) It’s all or nothing with God. Your relationship with God."And you shall LOVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART…" How much? Ninety nine percent of your heart, mind and soul? Ninety-nine and a half? Forget it. IT’S ALL OR NOTHING. If there is anything more important to you than your creator, then you have another god.Jesus will settle for nothing less than to be the ruler of your life. He IS the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But He is a gentleman. He knocks and will not force himself. If you don’t want Him, you will automatically have the other one – Satan. If GOD is not first in your marriage, in your work, first between you and friends, first between you and enemies, then you have another god. Don’t kid yourself. You don’t belong to Him.

2) Studying the Bible is a commandment. "These WORDS I command you this day"- THIS MEANS THE BIBLE. …..at that time it was up to that point in Deuteronomy. Today, "this day", it is the ENTIRE BIBLE. They received the entire Bible in the first century AD. What are you commanded to do with these WORDS of God? (A)You shall –TEACH YOURSELF-study them until you retain then ALL in your innermost being (heart, not head) continuously, then you shall (B)_TEACH YOUR FAMILY-instruct them to your family when you talk, walk, sit, liest down; you shall write these points down and bind them on your finger, (C) then you must TEACH THE PUBLIC -you shall write the commandments down on the gate of your house! The absolute minimum of personal Bible study is held to be twice daily, every day of your life. You think it's "if you like " or "maybe"? It’s a COMMANDMENT. Church attendance is a commandment of man.

Bible knowledge is commandment of God. Did you not read it as a commandment? It is not a commentary!ALL OR NOTHING?Matthew 10:37-3937. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.38. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.39. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.Mattew 13:44-4644. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.45. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:46. Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.God has to be first in your life, or He is not your God. First in marriage, first at work, first between you and friends, first between you and your enemies. If you want the pearl of great price it’s going to cost you, you bet. Yet it will be the most outrageously profitable deal imaginable.

Revelation 3:15; 1915. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.16. So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.16. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Mark 12:28-3028. And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:30. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment

There are those who would advocate a comfortable, “dead” Christianity, where neither the Bible, nor God nor His commandments mean much. To these may I propose that they stop kidding themselves and stop wasting their time, and that of their parishioners, if they have any, and join the devil worshippers (there are lots of those around) and have fun. Because that is all that they will ever have, this life alone.

If you are working in a “church” and teach error to others, why don’t you leave and get an honest job, like changing tires or picking peaches and stop destroying the faith of people entrusted to you.God is available only one way: as God. He will settle for nothing less than to be God. Jesus will settle for nothing less than to be the ruler of our life. He is a gentleman- He knocks at your door. (Satan pushes his way). If you want Him, say with me:"Dear Jesus, forgive me my sins. I ask you to be the ruler of my life.Help me to love you more every day and obey you better, with all my strength - and read your Bible, dearest Jesus, twice a day, every day of my life."
